VIII African Potato Association Conference

8TH AFRICAN POTATO ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE
5-9 December 2010, Cape Town, South Africa

On behalf of the African Potato Association, Potatoes South Africa wishes to invite you to the 8th African Potato Association Conference.
The conference will be held at the Protea Hotel Breakwater Lodge, Cape Town, South Africa. (The lodge is situated beneath the slopes of Table Mountain – the world famous heritage site) Visit the website www.breakwaterlodge.co.za
The conference is scheduled to take place from Sunday, 5 to Thursday, 9 December 2010.

Potatoes and Sweet Potatoes – the driving force behind food security in Africa

The provisional program for the Conference is as follows:
•    Sunday, 5 December 2010: Welcoming function
•    Monday, 6 December 2010: Registration and official program
•    Tuesday, 7 December 2010: Official program and banquet
•    Wednesday, 8 December 2010: Official program and excursion
•    Thursday, 9 December 2010: Official program and closure (It is envisaged that the Conference will close at 14:00 on Thursday, 9 December 2010.)

The cost of attending the Conference is estimated at US$ 880 (US$ 220 per day – this includes hotel accommodation, conference package, evening functions, outing and farm visit). Arrangements can be made with the Lodge for Conferees who wish to stay over. This will be for your own account.
