10th World Potato Congress – XXVIII Congreso de la Asociación Latinoamericana de la Papa


Dear All,

On behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation of Peru, The Organizing Committee of the World Potato Congress and the Latin American Potato Association (WPC-ALAP-2018), are pleased to invite you to submit your work in this event that will be held at Cusco - Peru, from 27 to 31 May, 2018.

The Congress, supported by National Institute of Agricultural Innovation (INIA), the International Potato Center (CIP), the National Agrarian University La Molina (UNALM), The Food and Agriculture Organization at the United Nations (FAO) and the Exports and Tourism Promotion Board of Peru (PROMPERÚ), will be focused on relevant issues to the experience of the sustainable use of potato biodiversity (emphasizing native varieties), including: potato biodiversity and its use in breeding, potato biodiversity in relation to health and nutrition, challenges on in-situ conservation, varietal development, biotechnology, pest and disease management, crop and seed management, climate change, Late Blight, consumption and markets, post-harvest and processing technologies, culinary innovations, value chains for smallholder farmers.

Extended abstracts should be submitted on the Conference platform: https://wpc-alap2018.exordo.com/ (you will need to create an account). The deadline for abstracts submission is December 17, 2017.

Submitting your abstract will contribute to create a dynamic opportunity to share your research to discoveries as well as benefit from the exchange of ideas and knowledge with the international community involve in this main crop.
